2026 MHFNT Grant Awardees Announced

The Mission Hill / Fenway Neighborhood Trust, Inc. administers and operates a fund that gives grants to community-based Mission Hill and Fenway non-profits, community development corporations, and other civic groups to promote and enhance quality of life. The grants are used for specific projects related to arts and education, youth sports and recreation, and any other categories the board of the Mission Hill / Fenway Neighborhood Trust deems appropriate. The Board of the Mission Hill / Fenway Neighborhood Trust congratulates & thanks the applicants for taking the time to do this work for their organizations & their communities. Eighteen (18) grants were awarded this year. The recipients include: 

Total grants amount to $112,010 representing funding of $57,430 for Mission Hill and $54,580 for Fenway.

Mission Hill recipients include:

  1. Arts Talks Inc -

    $6,000 for stage and sound equipment for the 2026 Mission Hill Arts Festival

  2. Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. -

    $4,000  for summer jazz concerts in the Kevin W. Fitzgerald Park Arboretum

  3. Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services, fiscal agent for Maria Sanchez House  - $3,600 for intergenerational programming activities for residents in Mission Hill

  4. Mission Hill Main Streets, fiscal agent for Mission Hill Women's Writing Group -

    $8,305 for a writing workshop for residents at the Parker Hill Branch Library

  5. Back of the Hill Community Development Corporation -

    $5,035 for the 2026 summer concert series in Butterfly Park in Mission Hill

  6. Sociedad Latina, Inc. -

    $12,500 for stipends for youth leaders in the Workforce Development Pathways program 

  7. Phillips Brooks House Association, Inc. -

    $4,540 for the 2026 Mission Hill Summer Program

  8. Boston Building Resources' Reuse Center -

    $7,000 for material processing, inventory management, and multilingual customer assistance

  9. Mission Hill Link, Inc. -

    $2,500 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to introduce their new bus to the Mission Hill community

  10. Mission Hill Health Movement -

    $3,950 for garden capital projects and a summer tomato contest

Fenway recipients include:

  1. Massachusetts College of Art and Design Foundation, Inc. -

    $6,500 for artist honoraria for MassArt Art Museum's Art on the Plaza

  2. Friends of Ramler Park, Inc., fiscal agent for Fenway Civic Association -

    $5,780 for free family movie events and performances in Symphony Park 

  3. Operation P.E.A.C.E. Northeast, Inc., fiscal agent for Peterborough Senior Center -

    $10,000 for cultural and recreational outings, healthy meals, and social programming for seniors 

  4. Fenway Community Center at Viridian, Inc. -

    $12,000 for the "Creative Connections" series of arts and culture classes for all ages at Fenway Community Center

  5. Friends of Ramler Park, Inc. -

    $5,300 for 2026 summer jazz concerts and landscaping and fencing in Ramler Park

  6. Boston Comic Arts Foundation Limited -

    $4,000 to supplement tuition for a 5-week comics and graphic novel production course for Fenway adults

  7. Brookline GreenSpace Alliance, fiscal agent for Muddy Water Initiative -

    $5,000 for trash removal and water quality and habitat improvement along the Muddy River in the Fenway 

  8. The Solo Foundation Inc, fiscal agent for [ bitsandflow ] -

    $6,000 for artist fees, costume design, and costume rental and materials for a theater performance in the Emerald Necklace in the Fenway
